Getting set up in Settings

For coaches · 3 min read

Settings is where you describe your business: what you teach, how you get paid, and when you're bookable. Changes save as you go.

What you teach and how you charge

1
Open Settings and choose what you coach. Open →

Pick Languages, Chess, Tutoring, or Something else, then the word for a single meeting: lesson, session, match review, or class. That word appears on buttons, tabs, and messages everywhere.

This guide says "lesson" throughout; your account uses the word you pick.

2
Pick your pricing model and fill in the numbers. Open →

Choose Pay as you go, Lesson packages, or Monthly plan, set your currency, then the hourly rate, the package size and price, or the monthly amount. Students see the exact line, e.g. "$40 / hour."

3
Turn on an intro offer, if you want one.

Switch it On to offer each new student one free or discounted first lesson. Students can book it themselves, and it's offered automatically when you book for a first-timer. Set its length and price (0 makes it free).

The Length (minutes) and Price fields only appear once this toggle is On.

Your policy and where lessons happen

4
Write your cancellation policy and set the free-cancellation window. Open →

Students see the policy on their portal and when they're invited. Choose 12, 24, 48, or 72 hours (24 by default). Inside this window, a student canceling their own lesson from their portal shows as Missed instead of Canceled.

5
Check "Where do your lessons happen?"

Lessons use the built-in call, right on the lesson screen. There's no link to send: your student joins from their portal, where Join appears 15 minutes before the start. If a call fails during a lesson, the lesson screen offers an emergency outside link for that one lesson, and that lesson gets no AI notes.

6
Add your open times, your bio, and reminders. Open →

Add the weekly windows students can book, in your timezone (it follows your device, so there's nothing to set). Choose your lesson lengths, the break after each one, and start times. Then write a couple of sentences for your About you bio, and pick which student reminders to send.

Leave the windows empty if you'd rather book every lesson yourself.
