Getting paid: the basics

For coaches · 2 min read

Students pay you directly, by card through Stripe or however you already collect.

How you get paid

1
Connect Stripe to send card invoices Open →

Find “Connect Stripe” on Payments. Card payments go straight into your bank account, and it's free to set up. Or skip Stripe and keep collecting cash, checks, Venmo, or transfers.

2
Record payments on the student's Billing tab Open →

Click “Record a payment”, enter the amount and date, then “Record payment”. It keeps their balance and your earnings accurate, with or without Stripe.

Rates and invoices

3
Set your rates Open →

Your default rate and pricing model live in Settings and drive invoices, the student portal, and your reports. A “Custom rate” on a student's Billing tab replaces it for them only.

4
Send a card invoice from the student's Billing tab

“New invoice” asks for the amount, a due date and “What it's for”; “Create invoice” emails the student a secure pay-by-card link and gives you “Copy link”.

Appears only once Stripe is connected.

5
Check Payments and Reports Open →

Payments leads with “Needs you” (open invoices, lessons owed, used-up packages), then “This month”, “Outstanding” and “Active packages”. Reports has “Earnings · last 6 months”, “Hours taught” and “By student”. To export, set the dates, press “Show this range”, then use the “download this range's payments CSV” link.
